DR. SAN GUINARY

We are very fortunate to have our memories, and currently a website dedicated to Dr. San at: www.drsanguinary.com I wouldn't say that I was a big fan of Dr. San Guinary, when honestly there wasn't anything else on for a kid to watch on saturday nights.

A legend in Omaha, Nebraska.
The good Doctor hosted "Creature Feature" and in later years "Creature Double Feature" at 10:30 saturday nights on KMTV from 1971 to 1981.The debut of Saturday Night Live in 1975 forced him to a later airtime (midnight) and then ill health forced him off the air. The Doctor's alter ego, John Jones, passed away in 1988. Omaha and the rest of us sure miss him.

In his time on the Omaha airwaves he helped raise money for Muscular Dystrophy and other charities, became a popular figure in the local community and achieved pop-culture status with a lot of older "Gen-X" folks.
