The Three Stooges
MOE HOWARD and his brother, SHEMP started out in vaudeville as a comedy team. LARRY FINE joined them 5 years later, and they became THE THREE STOOGES. They went on to make 200 short films between 1934 and 1958. Shemp left in the early '30s and was replaced by CURLY HOWARD. Curly had a stroke in 1946 and Shemp returned. Shemp died in 1955 and was replaced by JOE BESSER and then JOE DERITA in 1959.
