Map
Risk II starts with the basic 42 territory map, but gives you the option
to add 6 new territories, and the ability to disable the Middle East/ East Africa link.
The new territories - Hawaii, Oikiqtaluk, Svalbard, Philipines, New Zealand,
and Falkland Islands - create new boundaries for all continents.
The additional territories are typically utlized in Same-Time Risk,
where you get bonus armies for connected empires.
The value of the continents can also be altered, to compensate
for the additional borders/burden placed upon the combatants.
Most people will play Risk in the classic fashion and the basic map.
